The Old Dower House is situated next door to beautiful St Michael’s Church which is a stunning place to get married and enjoys a spectacular back drop for your dream photographs, but we are also lucky enough to have other beautiful venues close by. Wherever you are getting married we would love to welcome brides-to-be to stay with us the night before the big day, together with bridesmaids, mum’s or friends, or grooms and ushers and we will taylor-make your stay just for you.

You will have exclusive use of our accommodation for at least the night before and the night after your wedding including the Lower Mere Room, Garden Room, Shepherds Hut, guest lounge and dining room and we will be on hand to ensure the perfect run up to your big day. Enjoy a meal at the gastro pub across the road on the eve of the wedding then snug in with your girlies or gents at The Old Dower House while you pamper and prepare for the next day.

On the big day you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and get ready, before being picked up by your wedding car. If you are getting married at St Michael’s you can watch your guests walk up to the church (though no peeking at the groom!) as the church bells ring so that you can really soak up the atmosphere and when the time comes, take the short stroll down the garden path and on to the church on foot. After your wedding reception, we would love to welcome you and hubby back but we understand that you may want to stay at your wedding reception venue and if this is the case we are happy to accommodate other guests of your choice.
